Instituto Courageous Land was founded with the purpose of supporting transformative projects, technologies, and initiatives that benefit both humanity and biodiversity, especially where the traditional market faces barriers or does not reach.
Our work is to go wherever needed, connecting knowledge, action, and positive impact in a direct, courageous, and regenerative way.
We develop digital tools and solutions for the analysis, monitoring, and efficient management of agroforestry systems—from diagnosis to commercialization.
We offer practical training, workshops, and field days for various audiences, promoting experience sharing and the strengthening of networks.
We foster studies, experiments, and partnerships that drive the technical and scientific advancement of agroforestry, always focusing on results applicable to the producer’s daily life.
We created the Agroforestry Intelligence Platform as a concrete step to democratize access to agroforestry. The diagnosis is 100% free and takes less than a minute, because we believe regenerating the land cannot be a privilege of the few. The platform brings us closer to our mission of helping farmers understand the potential of their areas and take the first step toward more sustainable, profitable, and future‑oriented production.

We do this by creating a biodiverse habitat, healthy food for consumers, and—perhaps most importantly—by improving the lives of people working in rural areas.
Rural communities currently suffer from inadequate income, limited mobility, and overexposure to carcinogenic agrochemicals. This is leading to an aging of the farming population as young people flee rural areas for cities, often ending up in urban favelas in Brazil.
Courageous Land is working to drastically improve rural life by:
- Providing a share of future project outcomes to everyone working on agroforestry initiatives, plus above‑market wages in a healthy environment.
- Promoting access to sales channels and educational resources for local smallholder farmers.
- Ensuring safe, agrochemical‑free work environments through our focus on organic cultivation.
In the near future, our partner Courageous Land will donate 1% of all cultivated food to nourish Brazilians in vulnerable situations, especially children. We will also facilitate the planting of fruit and perennial trees on small producers’ land to help provide permanent food security. We firmly believe in the cultural and ancestral value of agriculture—and agroforestry in particular. The planet needs a new generation of regenerative farmers.
Finally, we prioritize job creation and women’s empowerment in every region, and in Roraima we focus on integrating Venezuelan refugees as they adapt to life in Brazil.
